CO2 climate sensitivity 'overestimated'
This is exactly the debate we were having about CO2 induced global warming. What struck me in this article wasn't really the science facts that they were stating (we know there are a lot of scientific facts for and against CO2 induced global warming), I was really curious to the last statement in the news article "One should be very careful about using cold climates to [construct] the future". It's true that there are so many factors that have changed over the past few years that it is difficult to model future climatic changes based on past models. That is possibly why future predictions of climate are all vastly different, and often people need to take averages to find out the possible future temperature increases (or decreases). I wonder how the public will react to this news report?
In the meantime, you can watch this video about biofuels.
Freedom Fuels from waywardeus on Vimeo.
Oil has always been a huge issue for developed countries and they are always talking about finding alternative energy sources. This video places biofuels as a sustainable energy resource that we should be using rather than diesel which is BADD!! But is biofuel as good as they claim it to be? There have been a lot of discussion about this recently, whether it is environmentally sustainable, whether it really reduces GHG. And it is truly an interesting topic... which we shall discuss next time round.
Stay tuned.
